DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GMBH, Dusseldorf, Germany, along with its branch company CARIBETRANS S. A., Santo Domingo, delivered machinery and equipment for the diesel power plant, planned to be built in Pimentel region, Dominican Republic. The core pf the station is 3 heavy diesel engines of 300 ton-weight each. The machinery was delivered from Trieste port to the port of Arroyo Barril, near Samana, Dominican Republic in January 2010.
DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GmbH was also responsible for the FOB pre-carriage up to Trieste port. In Arroyo Barril cargoes were accepted and transshipped onto a Goldhofer 20-axle hydraulic trailer in order to distribute the load on the pier. The cargoes were unloaded by means of a vessel’s gear. All three engines were delivered to the jobsite safe and sound.
